We had an enjoyable evening at willow park, we sang songs, had skits and roasted some marshmallows over a camp fire. We welcomed 2 new scouts and awarded Piper and Joe for all their time they have given to scouts. whooo hooo! *Parents please bring your cubs books to Pack Meet so we can see what they've passed off, don't forget to sign them either. Thank you to all that participated and help make this night so nice.

Ward Olympics at the Park...as told by Sheryl Coe

First of all, a big ROUND OF APPLAUSE to our activities committee for an amazing event. I had a smile plastered on my face the whole day thinking of the friendship in this ward! And here's my take on what happened Saturday:
1. Nursery race. GREAT IDEA! I would have never thought that of all people, my daughter would actually run this race and laugh her head off as she went through the crepe paper at the finish line. She had the time of her life and took it very seriously!

2. Junior Primary 3-Legged Race. Entertaining, to say the least!

3. Senior Primary 3-Legged Race. These kids were laughing so hard that it was easy to get excited about the race and cheer for them.

4. Adult 3-Legged Races. My only goal was NOT TO LOSE. And I didn't, thanks to Debbie's chanting of "In, Out, In, Out..."

What number are we on? Five?

5. Race to the Finish. Kevin won, but my Darren was pretty darn close. And I have the photographic evidence.

6. Hoola-Hooping Hoopla. Olympic GENIUS, I tell you. That was some AMAZING hip action!

7. Tug of war. Rug burns and pulling and crying, oh MY!

8. Acrobatic Race- Free for all! It was so fun to see the range of acrobatics, from cartwheels to somersaults, upside-down children to Vicky giving up and crawling over the finish line...I was laughing my head off!

PS. Darren, your somersault dives were top-notch!

9. Walking on hands race. (Especially for our own Bishop...) My husband thought that actually walking on his own hands would win him the race for sure, but he found that it was slower than he'd first thought. He finally wound up actually on his hands, but his collision with Rod...er...BISHOP, took them both out of the running.
10. Wheelbarrow Racing.

11. (This picture is my favorite of the whole day, Fanos! I love Matthews equestrian skills...)

12. The Awards Ceremony. My daughter walked in circles for hours looking at her shiny necklace. It was the highlight of her day!

13. Alex was truly "Pumped Up" for this contest! The Pie Eating was very entertaining to watch, and a great end to a fun day!

So...question. Does Mason have a striking resemblance to his father, shown below in the next picture?

...Must be the hair. Hee-Hee!

Hope that's what you wanted, Amy! Enjoy all the pics and click on them to see bigger images!
